Unlike the operation period, in which the carbon reduction measures focus on direct greenhouse gas emissions (fuel combustion, fugitive emissions, etc.) and indirect greenhouse gas emissions mainly from purchased electricity or heat, the embodied carbon in construction materials accounts for more than 80% of the carbon emissions during the construction period, and therefore the emissions reduction measures for the upstream of the value chain are necessary for the overall carbon emissions reduction plan during the construction period. However, the reduction of construction materials emission is inseparable from the joint efforts of members of the value chain of the construction industry. While meeting the requirements of developers and construction design, we cooperate with suppliers to seek suitable low-carbon construction materials.
