CSHK’s Pathway of Sustainable Transformation

Green development has always been one of the important sustainable development policies of CSCI, we aim to reduce the negative impact of construction on the environment and reduce carbon emissions through scientific management, improvement of construction technology and effective use of resources. Adhering to the green development concept of CSCI, CSHK also continuously reviews and reduces the possible negative impact of its business on the environment, accumulates professional expertise to support green building and promote environmental awareness through practical measures. Since 2019, CSHK has adopted a sustainable development governance structure covering decision-making, execution, and reporting, so that the senior management, subsidiaries, and functional departments can work together to promote the Company’s innovation and achieve the commitment to create shared value for stakeholders in a concerted and responsible manner.

Over the years of operation, CSHK has formed an environmental management system with collaborations between multiple departments and conducts verification for the internal system every year to strengthen the supervision of the management level, process control and work performance. We have established and continuously improved the energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001 and passed the annual review to achieve the goal of energy conservation and carbon reduction. As of September 2021, all construction sites of CSHK have obtained ISO 14001: 2015 environmental certification. In addition to reducing the pollution, carbon footprint and resource consumption of its operations, CSHK is also committed to promoting the transformation of the construction industry towards a more environmentally friendly direction, actively supporting green building and the application of prefabrication in construction, and improving energy-saving, water-saving, material-saving and environmental performances of construction and operation.
